Olde Home Days and Our Three Year Birthday Is Coming Up!

June 6, 2026

Three years, thousands of books, countless conversations, and only a slightly concerning number of Alani-fueled book recommendations later… we’re celebrating our "Chapter 3" during Olde Home Days in Marcellus!

The sidewalks will be full of vendors, the parade will be at 3:00, and there will be birthday cake on the porch at 1:00! Get one of our cool book totes if you spend over $50! Happy Birthday to us!! Whether you’ve been with us since day one or are just discovering us for the first time, we’re so grateful to be part of this amazing community.

There are signs in front that read ‘READ BANNED BOOKS’ and That's What She Read Bookshop and Boutique. The area has outdoor seating with chairs and flowers, and a white picket fence surrounds the front yard.

Author Event with Jeannine Cook on June 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM

Ooohhhh, friends! Saturday, June 13th...put it on your calendar! Jeannine Cook will be at That's What She Read! Jeanine is the author of Shut Up and Read and owner of Harriett's Bookshop in Philadelphia.

This book had my heart! It's her story of resilience, community, and finding purpose through literature. She opened her shop months before COVID shut down the world. But she prevailed! 5 out of 5 crystals!
